No Address Book - Corel Profile Shown.

Sophie

Hello, I would appreciate some help.
A neighbour is just starting with creating envelopes for her Word Documents.
When we click the Address Book icon to select addresses, a prompt appears to
select the Corel User Profile (I believe Corel is installed but I'm afraid I
don't know which version) and nothing shows for the Windows Address Book or
Contact list

Is there a way to correct this apart from uninstalling Corel?

Many Thanks.

Hi Sophie,

The problem with using an Address Book with Word is that Word doesn't have one
of its own AND it can't connect to just any address book. Word can only link
to so-called MAPI-compliant address books. The Corel product is obviously one
of these; so is an OUTLOOK Contact list. An Outlook Express or a WAB on the
other hand is *not* MAPI-compliant.

If your neighbor has the Office OUTLOOK installed and configured, this profile
should be appearing in the list. If it is not, you need to ask the question in
an OUTLOOK newsgroup. Please also mention which version of Office is being
used.

Or, the neighbor could use their Corel Address Book.

Many Thanks Cindy....
I'll look into it. Fortunately I don't have the same problem on my computer.
She's coming along nicely getting a handle on all this and just as we were
going to create an envelope, etc, WHAMMO...no address book!
Typing the address in manually ISN'T COOL AT ALL!
