No Animation

Aurora

I am using PP 2003
This is the first time I have tried to add animation to my presentation.
I am trying to get one slide to add the bulleted items one by one. But the
task panel for animation has "No Animation" in dark blue. I click on an
animation, "Fade in one by one" but nothing happens. The panel still reads
"no animation". I go into the slide show and still nothing happens. What
am I missing to make this work for me? Please Help.

Did you click on the text box that contains the bulleted text? If you click
on that and then choose Custom Animation from the Slide Show menu. Then you
should be able to use the Add Effect button in the task pane to add an
entrance effect.

What you are trying to add is not a single animation but an animation
scheme. Those work only if your text is in placeholders, not in text boxes
and they don't work for any other objects like images.

Click on Slide show - Custom animation to open the animation task pane.
Click on your text on your slide, then on the button Add animation at the
top of the task pane. Choose any entrance animation (there is a fade there
too). Double click on the animation in the list below, then on the text
animation tab. Choose animation by line.

Best regards,
Ute

Aurora,
Are you trying to add an animation scheme to your presentation or individual
animations? If you are trying to add an animation scheme, the slide content
must be in placeholders - not regular text boxes.

If you want to add the animations to your slides individually, try the
information in this entry from the PPT FAQ:
Make animated text appear line by line (build slides)
