No audio when exporting to .mov

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel I need to make a PPT into a .mov. The movie exports fine but there's no audio. I've looked at past posts and see that this is an issue. Was it ever resolved?
Is it possible to export the audio separately? At least I could add it back in using Flash or Quicktime.

PowerPoint 2008 won't save the audio track. You'll need to add it to the
saved QuickTime movie using iMovie, QuickTime Pro or other QuickTime editor.

Thanks Jim,
Can just the audio be extracted from the PPT?

You would need an audio capture utility such as WireTap from Ambrosia
software or Audacity (free) from sorceforge to capture the audio output.

Hey Jim, I've probably asked this before, but what do you get when you
save a PPT 2008 as web page? If it's the old-style "Images plus htm files
to contain them" then no help, but if it's the same sort of "Folder fulla
html, xml, css and other goodness" that you get with the Win versions
since 2000, the sound files will probably be in that same folder.

The file format is the same for Mac and PC PowerPoint. The .pptx file
contains copies of the media.

To get at the media files:
1. In Finder, change the file extension from .pptx to .zip
2. Right-click or Control-click on the file icon and choose Open With >
Archive Utility

A folder will appear that contains all of the goodies.
