no automatic page break!!!???

Problem with XP/ Word 2003

With each document, it is NOT inserting automatic page
breaks. Therefore,any document I create over one page
long only prints the first page.

If I manually insert a page break at the end of page one,
my second page appears - manually insert a page break at
the end of page two, page three appears, etc. etc.

How do I get it to automatically insert page breaks
again. What did I do to make it stop doing this?????
