no capital /k/

K

Karen

All of a sudden I can't type an uppercase /k/ in the
cells of my Excel worksheets. I've noticed missing /k/
in different places such as web pages, Access, some e-
mail....but it works okay in Word and in this message
(KKKKKKKK). I use XP Home.

I've tried autocorrect with no luck. I'm missing /k/
from Excell, but it is also missing on some web pages
that I'm viewing (such as my e-mail page on yahoo).

Hi Karen,
When you say web pages these are anybody's web pages, right?
Not ones that you keyed in the data yourself.

I presume you are on a PC, and not a Mac.

I don't expect it to change anything but try changing the Font
for a cell in Excel. I presume you have Arial as default..

In Internet Explorer, right click in the page area, what do you
have for Encoding -- this is a close to giving you the name of
a codepage as I see in Microsoft products..

In the Control Panel
Fonts: pick font you are using (probably Arial) do you see K and k properly

If you type
A1: K B1: =CODE(A1) do you see 75 for capital K
A2: k B2: =CODE(A2) do you see 107 for lower-case kl
