No color at all!!

I downloaded all the service packs sp1 and sp2 and the others as well, and I
cannot get any colors whatsoever--------I got to the format and go to section
color, and page setup..........and it just won't work. What is going on???
Everything is white or gray. The unchangeable background that I'm writing on
is dark blue grey.

Frustrated----

All and any help is appreciated.

Can you clarify the issue?

Are there no choices on any of the color selection menus/dialog boxes?
Or is it that no matter what color you choose, it appears as a different
shade of grey?

What is your color depth on the machine in question? The colors in ON
are subtle and might not show completely on a machine with a low color
depth. Do you see this or a similar issue with other programs?

On the format--> section color...the color selections are in the boxes...I
click but no color change.....likewise for pen color......no change in
color.......However the stationary choice....shows up in color with designs,
etc........I downloaded sp1, sp2 and the download for pen color.......but to
no avail.......the tabs and the pages themselves are monochrome...the tabs
are grey and the page that I write on / the cursor ....shows a rather darker
grey as I write.......definitely an annoyance and affects the
viewing........Everything else seems to work fine.......I use a Dell
laptop--not quite a year old....with all bells and whistles... Bakeapple
