I am using Outlook 2000. When I try and configure my address book I
only have the option of my "offline address book" even though my
contact list has data. When I try and make my contacts folder available
in address book( right click folders- click properties-click the
outlook address book tab-click on "show this folder as an address
book")the option is turned off (grayed out).
The strange thing is...when I used outlook in an internet connection
mode, then I had no problem. But since I have installed the exchange
server option, I now can only have access to the same address book that
we have fixed on the server, it doesn't appear to allow me to choose
from the contacts that are on my machine (I think anyway).
Have you ever heard of this? I have even tried to re-import my
contacts from my office machine (which works fine) but to no avail. I
even uninstalled outlook and reinstalled it again w/ the exact same
result.
My other option might be to remove the network connection and start
over? Would this have any bearing on the problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
