I've just ported a Windows PPT file to my Mac Book Pro. Although the one video clip I'm using looks much smoother on the Mac, the slide transitions throughout the show are a lot faster than on my Dell XP laptop. On the Mac, in Options, under Timing, clicking "slow" makes no visible difference from clicking "medium" or "fast." The speed is the same. That makes the Mac version unusable for me. I need smooth fades, not caffeine-crazed transitions. What's going on? Is the CPU too hot for the software? I've saved the file as a pptx as well, but that makes no difference, either.
