No disk in drive error after Office 2003 instal

Telly

I have installed Office 2003 Pro on my laptop, and everything seems to work
OK (XP, SP2). However, I now get the error message "no disk in drive-please
insert a disk in the drive." I'm assuming that it is referring to the A:
floppy, so I put a disk in and the error messages still continue. I rarely,
if ever anymore, use the floppy drive.

I had a similar problem on my desktop machine, but putting a disk in the A:
drive once cured it.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

JoAnn-

It starts when the computer is first turned on. Since putting a disk in
doesn't solve the problem, I tried just closing the box (click on X); if I do
this about 10 times, the error message will go away for a while, but then
reappear. The error box is always in the foreground.

Thanks,
Telly

Specifically what does the error message say?

"No disk in drive. Please insert a disk into drive." There are three buttons:
retry, cancel, continue

Putting a floppy in and pressing any one of the buttons does not help.
Closing the box doesn't help, either; it just keeps on popping back up in
the foreground.
