No Email Icon In Tray

I have lost the email icon in the tray when I receive new emails in Outlook 2002 (running on Windows XP with IE 6). I double-checked and the option is still enabled in the Outlook options, via this method:

Click the Tools menu, Select Options.
On the Preferences Tab, Click E-mail Options.
Click Advanced E-mail Options.
Check to select the Show an envelope icon in the system tray.

However, I do not receieve the email icon in the tray when I get new email. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get it back?

Check your Notification Area and expand it when neccesary. Make sure you
configure it to always show;
Control Panel-> Taskbar and Start Menu-> button Customize

That took care of it - thanks. I just went in and customized that email icon to always show, rather than hide when not used. Thanks again!
