NO ENOUGH MEMORY

T

Tola

My system gives me an error of 'no enough memory' after
adding addtional memory of 256MB with the one already in
the system making additional of 512MB of RAM. When I try
work with two large excel'document (2x 22mb) at ones, I
get an error message sated above. This message does not
prevent me to work with files but calculation/changes
tend to take longer, even the occational crash.

Thanks

What can I do?

Hi,

My guess is that these workbooks contain either a lot of
charts or a corruption.

If there are no/not many charts, try saving the workbook
as Web page, closing them and reopening. Then save as
normal Excel workbook again. These processes may take a
long time with such large files though.

Another thing to check is whether the last cell that Excel
thinks is in use corresponds with your data range. For
each sheet in your files, see where pressing control-End
takes you. If it is beyond your physical data, delete all
extraenoeous rows and columns and save the file.
