No Enterprise Fields in Published Fields list

Greetings!

When I go to the Customize Published Fields dialog box, the Enterprise
Fields do not appear in the "Available Fields" window. I know it worked
before because in the "Fields in the Tasks View" window, there are Enterprise
Text fields, which I had moved over a while back.

This is happening when I open the Customize Published Fields dialog box in a
new project, an existing project, the Enterprise Global, or no file at all.

How do I get the Enterprise Fields to appear in the "Available Fields"?

Thanks in advance for a response to this question.

Thanks for the response, Vadim.

I am using the Customize Published Fields command because I need to list the
fields I want to publish so that they appear in the Assignments views in Web
Access.
In the past, the Enterprise fields were listed in the "Available Fields"
window. Now, they are not. I know this because in the "Fields in the Tasks
View" window, there are Enterprise fields listed. Oddly, I can move the
Enterprise fields back to the "Available Fields" window and move it back.
Currently, I have these Enterprise fields listed in the "Fields in the Tasks
View" window:

Enterprise Text5
Enterprise Text6
Enterprise Text7

The other Enterprise Text fields, such as Enterprise Text1, Enterprise
Text2, Enterprise Text 3, etc. don't show up at all.

I even tried adding Enterprise Text4 via a macro, but it didn't work.

I suspect something has changed since I moved the present Enterprise Fields
over. I have full permissions as an Administrator so it's not that.

Is there something else that would cause this change?

Yes. This is happening in these situations:

1. new blank project,
2, an existing project saved to the Server,
3. the Checked-out Enterprise Global,
4. No file open.

Thanks for hanging in there, Gary.

To clarify, when you say "it should happen" for 1, 2, and 4, are you saying
the Enterprise Fields should be appearing in the "Available Fields" window in
these situations?

If so, why aren't they?

This is just weird. I know in the past, I was able to see them in all of
these situations. I set my defaults this way, saved them in the Enterprise
Global, and saved them in server templates.

Conrad:

You *can't* add custom Enterprise Fields to the published fields when:

1) There aren't any customized enterprise fields. Enterprise fields don't
show up in the picklist unless they're renamed
2) When you've got the Enterprise Global open
3) When you've got no project open
4) When you've got a non enterprise project open (any project that hasn't
been opened from or saved to the server)

Does that help?

You should be able to use custom enterprise fields for publishing in
enterprise projects. If you can't, describe exactly what you're doing.

Well, how about that! It turns out number 1 on your list did the trick. I
renamed the field and it showed up on the list.

I was able to add it in situations 2 and 3 to the Published Fields. I
wasn't able to add it on a project previously saved as a file.

Thanks for the help!
