No fax dial up

Please let me know why I cannot send a fax when all
Internet and email connections are ok. Before upgrading
I was able to send faxes but not since modem and
motherboard replacement. I have contacted my upgrade
agency and Internet SP and they both tell me it is a fax
software problem. All the relevant Microsoft fax
component software has been loaded ok but no joy. It
seems that all preparation is ok except I cannot get the
Microsoft fax software to activate the modem and dial up.
Can you help?

You must at least provide some troubleshooting information.
To which fax software are you referring? How did you install it?
What happens when you try to send a fax? What are your error messages and
what shows in Event viewer?
