I tried searching Google for an answer, but nothing seems satisfactory
to me.
I have 150 users on the network, spread out in several locations - so
it's not always possible for me to run to each client to fix this.
Most of these user's free/busy information is not available... I get
the /////////// thing when setting up a meeting request for some users
and the proper free/busy info for others.
Having each user run "outlook /cleanfreebusy" is not possible because
their Start->Run dialog boxes are disabled via Group Policy. I'm not
so sure if I want to add this line into their logon scripts either.
The level of computer literacy here isn't terribly high - so asking
them to do anything of an IT nature simply won't fly.
There has to be a way to fix this globally without going to each
client to make it happen (damn you MS).
We're running Exchange 2000 SP3 in a Server 2000 Active Directory
environment with a mix of 2000/XP clients running a mix of Office 2000
and XP.
If it does come down to running "outlook /cleanfreebusy" - does it
have to be done for each user with their logon?
Thanks!
to me.
