no gain on my microphone, can i use voice recognition?

my microphone is attached to my web cam. when i try to train word so i can
use the voice recognition it says my microphone has no gain ajustment, so it
wont let me click next. Any solutions out there?

The best practices for using speech recognition in Office applications is to
use a Close-talking microphone, such as the ones using a headset. I am not
sure if your webcam microphone is the best solution.
