My Entourage mail program was
completely wiped out on Friday.
The program itself remained installed,
but all messages, sent messages and
deleted messages were gone. Instead
there was a "welcome" message for
the start up of the program and it was
necessary for me to reestablish contact
with my isp, make new folders etc.
I used the so-called support service
for Microsoft and since this was a crisis
situation, I paid $35 via my credit card
and expected a quick e-mail return as to
the cause of the crash, what I should do
next,etc. Instead, I have heard nothing
for three days. I am unable even to make
a contact where I can demand my $35 back!
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thankfully, I had a Netscape account to
rely on until I got the program reestablished,
but there was no way of retrieving any of
the lost information.
This was in Microsoft Office for Mac OS X.
I have Norton Systemworks virus protection
