No help...

I am running Access 2002 on a Windows 2000 system.

When I use the program as Administrator there is no
problem. When I use it as any other user the Help doesn't
display properly. The contents tab shows the normal list
of contents, but the Answer Wizard and Index tabs just
show blank grey, and the cursor changes to a strange
double headed arrow when inside the grey area.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program but without
solving the problem.

I have elements of Office 2000 installed on the same
system. Is there any conflict here?

Grateful for any help.

Hi,

It's most likely a permissions related issue being that when logged in as
the Administrator you have no problems. Test giving that user account Full
Control over the entire registry hive.

- Click Start > Run
- Type regedit then click OK
- On each hive (e.g., HKEY_Classes_Root, HKEY_Local_Machine) give them Full
Control

If it works then it's a permissions related issue in the registry. If it
does not work test creating a new profile. If the new profile works then
the original profile must be damaged (or something related to).

I hope this helps! If you have additional questions on this topic, please
respond back to this posting.
