No it is office pro XP. But money was not on the cd I
typed it by mistake. Sorry. I did contact Dell again and
no help ghey said MS has to give you a key. They have
people from india who can't speak english nor understand
it. So I need MS support help. Dell support is useless
Well you won't get any - I will repeat (at the risk of sounding like a
broken record) Microsoft do not, cannot and will not provide support for OEM
installations. I have spoken to Dell TS myself several times and I've never
spoken to someone in India who cannot speak English. But that's irrelevant,
you may receive support from MS on a paid contract, but you do *NOT* qualify
for free support - read the EULA that was included with the system.
Here is the relevant paragraph if you cannot find it...
"7. PRODUCT SUPPORT. PRODUCT SUPPORT FOR THE SOFTWARE PRODUCT IS NOT
PROVIDED BY MS, MICROSOFT CORPORATION, OR THEIR AFFILIATES OR SUBSIDIARIES.
FOR PRODUCT SUPPORT, PLEASE REFER TO MANUFACTURER'S SUPPORT NUMBER PROVIDED
IN THE DOCUMENTATION FOR THE HARDWARE. SHOULD YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS
CONCERNING THIS EULA, OR IF YOU DESIRE TO CONTACT MANUFACTURER FOR ANY OTHER
REASON, PLEASE REFER TO THE ADDRESS PROVIDED IN THE DOCUMENTATION FOR THE
HARDWARE."
So, as I stated before, Dell, being the manufacturer, is responsible for all
support. If they won't assist you, you're buggered basically.
