(Recently, customers of mine - myself too - have had incidents where
calendar items disappear in Outlook 2003, even with SP2 applied. This can
be a VERY large problem as you can imagine.)
I want to confirm that Oultook does not have some sort of logging mechanism
for calandar entries made, such as when you choose "New Appointment" and
schedule something in your own calendar directly.
I checked the Journal but that is clearly focused on message-based events
(emails, meeting invitations, etc) and also on Office documents being
opened/closed. I don't see anything related to regular appointment entries.
Is there any other, perhaps more hidden, type of mechanism which could be
enabled/used in Outlook that would work sort of like a transaction log or
data-entry log, which a user or administrator could refer to in the case of
appointments which go missing? They could go back to the log and see a
history of appointments entered?
