No longer able to connect to Project server

We have a project server install setup that we had initially used
projectserver accoutns to lo into. Now we have moved to using windows
authenication. I can connect with PWA and I can connect through a link
in outlook. I can not longer connect with project professional. When
I setup the account the test connection failes with a user does not
have permissions error.

Is there some cached connection/user information somewhere?

It seems very strange that I can connect with a browser but not the
full client. Any help is appreciated.

Have you tried on more than one machine? Used more than one account?
