Help is my CD Key corrupted?

I had to uninstall and then reinstall my office 2000 premium software because
Norton anti-virus keeps looping back to the point where i can never open any
excel files. I have deactivated norton but it's still trying to check for
virus. I tried to reinstall but my CD key isnt being accepted...does anyone
know how i can get it to work. Its the same old CD key that i originally
bought now it wont accept it. what to do?

You perhaps need to uninstall Norton, and maybe use the tool on the Symantec
site to completely remove your version of Norton.
If you deactivated Norton and its still running, then something is wrong
with Norton installation.

You should check that the key charactors, ie o 0, B 8, 1 I, are not confused
