No menu access. HELP

I am running OS 9.2.2 with MS WORD 2001. When I open a document, the only
menu options available are the help and font menus. Nothing else works. I
rebuilt the desktop - nothing, zapped pram- nothing, turned off
extensions-nothing, and uninstalled and reinstalled.

All other progs work great!

Any help would be appreciated.
