No more new fonts error message

I'm getting a "No more new fonts may be applied in this
workbook" error. This is when trying to create a chart.
The workbook is very large, but I don't understand the
message since I'm using only one font (Arial) throughout
the entire workbook. What causes this error to occur? Are
there "tricks" to minimize the chance of this occurring?
