No "New Document" option on File menu

I have Microsoft Word X installed on two computers, a
laptop and a desktop. On the laptop an item appears on the
File menu: "New Blank Document," this option is missing
from the copy of WordX installed on the desktop. Where did
it go? I can't find an item in Preferences to restore it. A
new blank document opens automatically when the application
is launched, and I can create a new blank document by going
to Project Gallery and selecting the type of document and
clicking Okay. But there's no New Document option on the
File menu. What's going on? Am I missing something?

Hi Ken,

From Word's TOOLS menu choose customize. Select the Menu and click Reset.
