No new messages entering my inbox, only new messages appear insubfolders

I had to rebuild a new database after completely erasing my identity in
Microsoft Entourage 2008. To do this I connected to my exchange server to
download all the emails to my local database. This took quite some time
since the account size is about 3.5G.

Once the syncing had stopped, I noticed that I couldn't see any emails in my
inbox newer then 12/02/08. The only new messages I could see are in
subfolders of the inbox or any new sent mail.

Can anyone help me to retrieve new messages into my inbox or see received
mail since 12/2/08?
