No object in control

I keep getting "No object in control" every time I add an active X control
to a form.

Even if I create a brand new database, brand new form and add a single
active X control.

I have tried several active X objects. The calendar works ok but I get this
error when I try to add:

ad Banner Class
folder chooser Class -or-
Sax Comm 6 control

The one I am interested in is the Sax Comm 6 control. This is Access 97.

try registering the activex controls again using regsrv

Are you sure that those controls are compatible with Access? I think (but am
not 100% sure) that not all activex controls are >necessarily< compatible
with Access.
