The version i run for Words, Excel and powerpoint is Office 2002. After I
installed OutLook 2003, every time I open excel there will be an error
message pop up. The error message is as follow:

"There are no Office Assistant character files present on the system. Please
run Setup in maintenance mode and install at least one character."

When I go to the registry to disable office assistant base on the following
steps:

1. Open the registry on your computer.

2. Navigate to HKEY_
LOCAL_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\[version]\Common\Assistant where
[version] is the version of Office you are running. For example, select 9.0
for Office 2000, 10.0 for Office XP, and 11.0 for Office 2003.
Select each key within the details pane and click Delete from the Edit menu.
You must delete each DWORD value within the key.

3. Close the Registry Editor

But I can't managed to find the the Assistant folder inside the Common
folder. May I know what can do to solve this problem again everything I open
eitehr Words or Excel?
