Bill

I am trying to import Excel data in to an Access
database. I have fully installed the Office Professional
software; but, find most of the usual import convertors
and tools (such as excel, etc.) missing. HELP!!

Reregister the dll files

Start Run
regsvr40 msexcl40.dll
regsvr40 msxbse40.dll
regsvr40 mspdox40.dll
regsvr40 mstext40.dll

I think Joan meant regsvr32.exe rather than regsvr40.

For the dll, use "40" for A2K or later. If you use A97,
use "35".

Oops, thanks Van. That'll teach me to do a find and replace on a previous
answer.
