No option to install complete version of MOSS and no Project app s

Hello. I am trying to install project server in a 2 server solution (Web
front end and a database server). I had MOSS working ok, and I decided to
add project server to MOSS 2007, everything seems to install properly...but
when I go to start the app service, it is not listed.

I read that I must have only installed the web front end...so I removed
MOSS, and tried to reinstall. after I put in the CD key, it simply goes
right to the installation, I get no option to select the type of installation
I want to do. I thought it maybe had something to do with window sharepoint
services 3.0, so I tried to just install that part and see what happens.
Well, I don't get the option there. Where you can select the server type
install...I can only select a "stand-alone" install or web farm
install...there is no option for complete.

I know I sound like a real expert on this. I just can't figure out what I
can't this to work.

OK...that makes sense.

Then how do I get the Project Application server to show up under the
topology?

Thanks for your help!

Eric:

After installing the binaries, you need to run the WSS configuration Wizard.
There are many little steps involved. Have you looked at the installation
guidance on TechNet? Microsoft provides extensive installation documentation
there. Alternately, you might consider purchasing our book on Implementing
and Adminnistering Microsoft Office Project Server 2007 with illustracted
installation guidance and configuration guidance as well.
