No password- not receiving e-mails

After I tried to change my SMTP server settings to send e-mail from my Entourage account on wireless internet (which didn't work), I changed them back. Now I'm not receiving e-mails, and I keep getting a box that tells me to enter my password after I press the "Send and Receive" button. I do not have a password and the box saying "always use secure password" in Edit Accounts and "Click here for advanced receiving options" is not checked. I tried restarting, and that didn't work either.

have the same problem. is there any hope for us. i have ATT and they won't help. My computer guy can't help.

Jumping into a old thread is not a good idea. There are no older messages
available to even see what was suggested. You have also given us no info on
your setup.

What have you tried? Did you follow the directions listed here?

I suggest getting a free Gmail address and forget about ATT.
