No Paste Option is given in Word 2002

I tried the Tools/Options/Edit bit, and the Paste Option
is already checked.

I can not imagine having to use Word without a copy/paste
function.

I do hope there is something simple I am missing. I did a
search here at the forums, and no one else seems to be
having that problem.

Are you saying that you can't find the Copy and Paste buttons on your
toolbar or items on your Edit menu? That could be because you have adaptive
menus enabled and the toolbars sharing a row. You can change this behavior
on the Options tab of Tools | Customize. But you can also copy and paste
using Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V.
