no pictures in word

Hi Group
I have a office x for mac osx when i download .doc files with
including pictures i cannot see the pictures! i cannot see the
"equation" parts of the files either.

the version of office is 10.1.5 what could be wrong?

Hi Jakob,

I just posted a similar question (see "red Xs . . . " posted on Feb
16). Do you know if your .doc files were created on a PC? That has
been the common factor in all my experience (I don't ever receive Word
docs from Mac users) My version is 10.0.0 I hope someone can help us!

Make sure you have Equation Editor and QuickTime properly installed.
