no 'print from' options in print center

P

ptango

I'm new to mac and maybe this is a case of unfamiliarity with OS and
software.

Trying to print notes pages from ms powerpoint x, all the help
resources i can find seem to indicate that the print centre should
include the option to print from powerpoint. This should appear in the
copies and pages pop-up. However nothing like this appears.

The same thing is true of all office applications

I have OSX 10.2.8 on a powerbook G4

thanks for any help on this...

I don't understand your question. If you are in PowerPoint, and then you
print, then you are printing from PowerPoint.

I'm going to make a vague stab at re-interpreting: In the File | Print
dialog, in the dropdown menu that starts with Copies and Pages, you expect
to see an entry for MS PowerPoint that lets you set PowerPoint settings?
But it isn't there?

Make sure that you have your actual printer selected, and that you have
installed the most recent printer driver for it. I'll just note that with
my printer, only Word puts an entry in that menu, no other office app. But
in PPT the initial Print dialog has a "print what" option that would let me
print just notes.
