no product key no

i boought the pc with the works suite 2002 on it. I had to blow off the disk and now it ask's me to give a product key after i downloaded the disks. I dont and never had one on the disks. I do have proof I bought them with the computer but dell said there not allowed to give out any product key no. befor 2000. Please help

I was able to get a new product key for a Microsoft product by calling up one of their customer service numbers. Try http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/resources/vol/numbers.asp for a list.
