no .pst file on new reinstall

Hi

I had to reinstall office XP, when I am opening Outlook
it says:
Can not open Microsoft Outlook unable to display the
selected folder: C:......Outlook.pst is not a personal
folders file.

When I go to that are there are two files one DAT file
named extend, and another Office Data File named mailbox

ANy suggestions

But no outlook.pst so the error is correct ;-)

Recreate your mail profile in Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles...
