No pst listed in Outlook 2007 "import a file"

I need to import data from an Outlook PST file stored elsewhere on my
computer. When in Outlook 2007 I use:

File/Import and Export/Import and Export Wizard/ Import from another program
or file/

..... now there is no vertical slider bar fro me to move down to select "pst
file".

Some lines of text in this Import a file window are truncated at the right
hand side and to me it looks as if the text font is larger than normal.

Hope someone can assist?

You never use import to transfer data form a native file. Just open it to
get what you need.

Use File/Open/Outlook Data File. Don't use Import.

Update: I have Tahoma font both normal and bold but it was set to 10.
Changing this to 6 produced the vertical slider and I now see that I can
import from a PST file.

What do you mean by native file?

Why then does Microsoft provide the import pst facility if I should not use
it as I thought that it allowed selective data import?

Don't use it. Use File/Open/Outlook Data File. Why you shouldn't use it,
I haven't a clue.

Microsoft still imagines that importing works. It doesn't. It loses or
changes data. It may corrupt your profile.
You use import and export only to convert to other file formats. When you
install a new version of Word, do you import your old documents? No. You
open them.

Import/Export loses various settings and data
It depends on the reason for using another pst as to whether you use
Import/Export
If eg you are moveing a same format pst to a new PC, then open the data file

Isn't the import/export function there to import/export to and from an
Exchange Mailbox?

Most users don't have a problem with things lost via import - they don't use
templates and views and all the other stuff that gets lost in an import.
They just want to get the stuff moved.
