No Read Permission Error

Ok, I have two different situations that are causing this problem. First,
when I created my database I created it in Access 2003 and on a computer with
an old employee's user name. The database was fine until my network
administrator decided to make my own login account on my computer under my
own name and switch to Access 2007 at the same time. Now, I am able to open
the database but every time I try to open a report or anything else inside
the database I get this message: Record(s) cannot be read; no read permission
on 'Daily Efficiency Query'. Also, when I opened the database before I was
prompted for my user name and password. Now, the database opens without
requesting this. How can I fix this problem so I can get back to work?

The Windows login name is not relevant. You need to move the secure mdw
file from the 'old computer' to your computer. Then you can create a
desktop shortcut with the following in the target:
"path to 2007 msaccess.exe" "path to mdb" /wrkgrp "path to secure mdw"

Thank you for your help. I tried that but it doesn't seem to be helping. I'm
thinking that its the conversion from 2003 to 2007 that has me screwed up. I
built a database in 2003 and set user permissions and passwords along with it.
I converted to 2007 this morning and now I am unable to open anything in the
database. For example, when I try to open a Query I get the following error
message: Could not read definitions; no read definitions permission for table
or query. I have tried going into Database Tools and then Users and
Permissions and tried giving access to myself but it won't let me. I am
unable to open the database back up in 2003 so I cannot log on and grant
anyone else permissions. I have also tried saving the file as a 2007 file and
exporting all the data to a new Access file but I am hit with another message
about permissions. How do I get around this? I am unable to grant anyone
permissions and it keeps telling me to contact the designer of the database
(which is me)!

You do not have the correct mdw file. Once you have the correct mdw,
and are logging in as the 'owner', then you won't get any permission
errors. Search the 'old' computer for *all* mdw files; copy them over
and try each one.
