Log in as the administrator account you mentioned,
hold the shift key down when the database is opening.
Select the "security" option of the "tools" menu at the
top of the screen. Select User and Group Accounts. Under
Users select your user name. View which accounts that user
belongs to in the "Member of" box to the lower right. Make
sure your user is a member of the Admins group. Now close
the User and Group Accounts screen. Selecte
the "security" option of the "tools" menu at the top of
the screen again. Select the "User and Group Permissions"
option this time. Click into the Groups selection of this
screen. Select the Admins group on your upper left. Now,
this is important, while the Admins group is selected, you
can view the rights of that group for each object type
(database, table, query, etc.) on the mid right of this
screen. From the object type box on this screen, select
database first and view the rights that are selected for
it in the Permissions area, make sure all are given. Do
this with all of the other object types also (tables,
queries and so on). Note that when you do it for each
object type, select all of the objects for that object
type at the same time, and give the admins group rights to
all of them by checking all of the permissions boxes
applicable. Do that for each object type. While you are
doing this you can hit the Apply button after each
permissions change. After you are done, make sure to hit
the OK button to have the all changes come into effect.
Now after you are all done doing that, shut down the
database and try logging on as the admin user you said you
had rights to. If that user is a member of the admins
group, the database should come up and you should be able
to operate it. If you want to check the rights that your
other users have, just do the same thing as you did for
checking the admins group but just check to see what users
are members of what groups, and then examine the groups
that they are members of to make sure the permissions of
the groups for the objects are the way that you want them
to be.
This may put you in the right direction.
Good luck.
