It's been over three weeks since I wrote asking about ppX vs. pp2004 and how
a slide built in one will come out miss-colored in the other....and I have
yet to receive any recognition of this problem....I did receive an email
from someone stating that they had the same problem....I am still using ppx
because to use 2004 I have to go back and manually change all the colors in
my slides....and that means about 4000 slides to deal with.....this is a
pain in the butt.
And yes, it is not a background issue as only certain colors in the slide
are messed up...i.e. Beige is turned to black when everything else comes out
ok.
It doesn't make sense why microsoft makes multiple versions of one program
that cannot recognize eachother!

Hi Daryl,

In general Microsoft employees do not respond to messages posted to
newsgroups. It's almost all just us PowerPoint users here helping each
other out.

No response is usually an indication that no one has found something
that works to help you out, or that no one else is experiencing the same
problem.

Let's start troubleshooting by trying to figure out whether it's just
your computer's PowerPoint or PPT 2004 in general. Have you tried
opening any of the problem presentations on a different computer that
has 2004 on it?
