Assuming you are using a Mac version of Word & that it is a fairly recent
vintage the first step would be to reset the Menu Bar through the Customize
Toolbars & Menu dialog. You can get there through the View menu in 2008 or
from View> Toolbars in 2004. On the Toolbars page select the name of the
Menu Bar, click the Reset button, OK out.
If that doesn't restore it or if you're using a different version (or a
different program altogether) post back for other suggestions... But
*please* always specify OS & application version numbers when asking for
assistance - otherwise any responses are simply guesswork which simply waste
your time. No offense or insult intended, but just because you posted to the
Mac Word newsgroup by no means confirms that it's what you actually meant to
do. Unfortunately people get misdirected to the wrong group quite often.
