no send receive button

About 1 year ago my button disappeared during virus season. I have installed
2003 professional and set up 2 different email accounts, both pop3. All goes
well including testing settings but no button and no send receive in tools.
MS said for $35 they could easily help me. I am hoping someone can help me
gratis. I have tried setting up account in control panel and all says good
still but again no button. Closed opened rebooted heck I even danced a jig
and no luck.

Have you tried completely deleting your old mail profile and creating a new
one (in Control Panel | Show Profiles)?

Hi Jocelyn,

I currently have 1 pocket pc and blackberry that sync to the profiles. i
notice I do have 2 profiles set up. one for the blackberry and one for the
pocket pc. Do I delete both and create new one? How will my perifs respond?
Thank you very much for taking the time to help me with this.

Your mail profiles correspond with your PDAs? That's a new one for me as I
only use one PDA and one Outlook profile. Let me see if I can find someone
to help us on this one.

That was the answer. After reading your response I dug a little deeper into
the profile settings and found they were old profiles. I did remove them and
added a new one and everything is working perfect. Thank you again Jocelyn
for taking the time to help me out with this. My faith in Microsoft is still
weak but my faith in man and womankind grows stronger every day.
Thank you again and God Bless,
Bob R
