no shortkey after merging

I start a macro with a shortcut. This works OK when I use a document based
on the template.
But when I merge with this document the shortkey doesn't work. When I save
the merged document and open it again, the shortkey is working again.

How can I get the shortkey working directly after merging?

Hope anyone knows.
