No sound from media files when in PowerPoint

I cannot play any sound out of PowerPoint whether in a video or as a sound
file. This is true if I am in slideshow or working on a slide.

The same files work fine when played through mediaplayer or something, just
not in PowerPoint.

The Power Point file also works fine when played on another computer.

NEVERMIND - I FIGURED IT OUT SOON AFTER I SENT THIS

I found a volume control that I didn’t know existed. It is under Control
Panel – Hardware and Sound - Sound - Adjust System Volume – Volume Mixer.
There are some specific PPT settings that you can adjust. This reference did
not show up on any of the help screens I looked through.
