No sound on Office 2007 Basic - Help demos

Can anyone tell me how to get the sound to work on the demos provided with
Office 2007? I can play all media,and sounds from websites such as Cnet and
Napster, also CD, Dvd Radio so my sound system is good to go! I don't know
what to do...there is a "troubleshooter" for Veiwing the demos but it is
really no help...I suspect IE 7 is the problem...can anyone advise...This is
a new computer (Jan 07) runing XP MCE w IE7 it is a Gateway and they say
contact Microsoft
