No sound or video since re-install.

My laptop was repaired and I've re-loaded Office onto it. However, my
Powerpoint presentation will not play sound or video (it works fine on my
desktop computer).
The Sound and video is in the same relative file within the same folder as
the presentation. I briefly got a message stating there might be a problem
with Windows Media Player (which works fine otherwise, and is up to data) but
since doing a "Repair" to Powerpoint, I don't even get that now - just no
response to the mouse click.
Any ideas???
Thanks.

Sorry! I've fallen into the directory-path-too-long hole without realising.
(One of my file names is inadvertantly one character longer than it used to
be!).
Thank you for your replies.
