No Sound

For some reason, Entourage has quit playing sounds. I have the default
sounds set to play when I have new email, etc., but they have suddenly
stopped working. I checked to make sure that the sound set is still
installed, that it didn't, for whatever reason get deleted. Has anyone
else had this problem or know what might be causing it and in turn how
to fix it?

I just got this problem, too, only with all office apps. Have you found a
solution yet?

I am having the same problem when I hit the save button on the
toolbar. Normally there is a sound telling me the document was saved,
but it isn't maing the sound anymore.

I've noticed this problem, too. In Word, Excel and PowerPoint, go to
"Application Name">Preferences>General and check "Provide feedback with
sound", and it should be working fine afterwards. But what I've experienced
is that the apps will, in irregular intervals, deactivate this option, so
whenever you have no sound feedback, you have to manually change the
settings again. Maybe it's a bug.
As for Entourage, I've never had any problem with that. To make sure, go to
Entourage>Preferences>Notifications, and see if the sounds are activated. If
they are, try using the default sound set and see if it works now. I used to
have these customized sound sets in Entourage v.X and they stopped working
when I upgraded to Entourage 2004, so maybe it's the same thing in your
case.
