no spelling

Everytime I start a new document the spelling-function does not activate. It
is set to be 'check while writing', but it only activates when I press F7.
After pressing F7 the spelling-function runs a 'check while writing'.

Why?

Check under Tools, Options, Spelling & Grammar tab that Spelling and Grammar
whilst you type options are both checked. Then use Tools, Languages, Set
Language and make sure that the correct language is set and that the DO Not
Check Spelling & Grammar box is Unchecked and press DEFAULT.

Make sure that you save the changes to the global template when prompted on
closing Word.

Also make sure that "Hide spelling errors in this document" is not checked
(Tools | Options | Spelling).
