No Spotlight Pref

I think I have worked out why, but not what to do...

On my system Spotlight works fine with Entourage, however with most of
the other users in my organisation the 'Spotlight' item is not visible
in the Entourage Preferences menu.

I think this is because I have been using MS Office 2004 since it was
released and have gone through all of the updates (inc. the 11.2.3
which added Spotlight), whereas most of my colleagues have come to
Office 2004 quite recently and have gone straight to 11.3.x bypassing
the 11.2.3 update.

So that's the problem and I think why it's happening, anyone else seen
this have any suggestions how I can add Spotlight now that the 11.2.3
update is no longer available?

Funny how you work these things out once you say them out loud...

I found the files which enable this feature on my computer added them
to one of the others and it works fine now - think I was right about
the cause, now have the solution.

The files are called;
Microsoft Entourage.mdimporter
Microsoft Office.mdimporter

These are located in
Hard disc\Library\Spotlight

These files should have been installed with the 11.3.3 update. Sync Services
was introduced with the 11.2.3 update, but that update was combined into the
11.3.3 update.

However as many recent posts have indicated update problems are pandemic
nowadays. This is for both Microsoft and Apple updates.
