No subfolders showing up in my pop account

Hello,

I have an exchange server which I access remotely via POP in Outlook. When
I click on Send Receive it syncs up my inbox but does not show subfolders in
my folders. I tried creating the subfolder in Outlook to match what is on
my server but it doesn't sync the folder. I'm sure I've forgotten something
obvious but can someone tell me what I need to change?
