No text visible in document but visible in print preview

I have one user who cannot see text in a document in any
of the views available except print preview. There is no
change when show formatting is enabled. The document
looks like it has a text box or frame but there is no way
to open or modify it. The font looks normal in the format
font function. Select all does not pick up enough lines
to account for the amount of text that is visible in print
preview. Any ideas?

If the text is in a text box, "Drawing objects" must be checked on the Print
tab of Tools | Options before the text box will print (or be displayed in
Print Preview).
